Fusion Health has a private Sports Therapy clinic providing the following treatments.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage therapy is a more focused deep tissue massage and may focus on a certain area of the body. It uses a combination of deep and light modalities. Your sports massage may include movement, resistance exercises, stretching and mobilisations.

Injury Assessment

Injury Assessments will include subjective and objective assessment. I will explain the injury to the best of your understanding and complete a treatment plan with full consent. Rehab programmes are designed to the client’s personal program depending on the injury. This will be displayed on email or the App format.

Acupuncture & Dry Needling

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine-based approach to treating a variety of conditions by triggering specific points on the skin with needles. It involves stimulating sensory nerves under the skin and in the muscle, this results in the body producing natural substances such as pain-relieving endorphins. Treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems, nausea, headaches, anxiety, depression, insomnia and infertility.

Dry Needling is a treatment using a thin monofilament needle penetrates the skin and treats underlying muscular trigger points for the management of neuromusculoskeletal pain and movement impairments.

Meet Our Team…..

Katie Farrimond

Fusion Health’s resident sports therapist, Katie specialises in Injury assessments and rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, Acupuncture and Dry needling, Sports Massage and Sports specific rehabilitation. I established KT Sports Massage and Rehabilitation in 2018, I have grown my clientele in various locations which has brought me to set up in two separate locations, I am now based in Bolton and Bramhall clinics. At the start of my career, I worked in Football in during the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons with professional sports teams such as Bolton Wanderers and Bury F.C. As my private work began to grow rapidly, I decided to solely work in my private clinic and move on from the football. I now work with a variety of professional athletes privately, as well as clientele with labouring jobs, desk jobs, disabilities and adolescent children. In my early years I had a passion for athletics in which I competed at national level in Heptathlon, at the age of 17 I underwent surgery to repair a hip injury unfortunately this wasn’t successful and had a second hip operation at the age of 21 this caused me to retire in athletics, however this is the reason for my success to date and changed my mind set from a negative life changing injury to a positive as I now help clients through similar situations.
